The reason that they sing this song is because
they ended the war with Spain and won the war. The mood is very happy, because
they won and they can finally go back to their home.

song is sang by the solders' of England at the solders' celebration so they are
drinking "Everyone a toast to our royal queen!"
The reason that the song contain lyrics that
are discriminate to the Spanish people is because they have hate to the Spanish
people. I can infer that because in wars, the solders( they are the people that
sang the song) are very likely to lose their friends or brothers, So when they
win the war they are both happy for themselves but they are also sad for the
ones that died in the war. The way to express their angriness of losing someone
that they love is by discriminating the Spanish people that killed them.
There is also another mood that is
contained in their feelings, when they won the war, they are very excited
because of the treatment they may get after they went home. They would be
respected by the people that know them. Most importantly, they can maybe
receive something from the government as a reward for their victory.
